Meet Dr. Robert Peterman

Being an orthodontist is truly a dream come true. Every day I get to interact with wonderful patients and families, helping them achieve smiles that will last them a lifetime. I am constantly working hard to maintain the highest level of orthodontic care in the specialty. This means taking the extra step to make sure every patient, whether they are a child or adult with a simple or complex issue, feels confident and comfortable until the day we finish treatment together!

I can’t imagine a better practice with people any more wonderful than those on our team. We pride ourselves on being the true orthodontic specialists of Somerset County. Our doctors and staff put our hearts and souls into the practice and into our patients. We truly are a family, and I guarantee the first time you meet us, you’ll understand why. I am a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. I then continued my dental training at Rutgers University for an additional three years where I obtained my specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and a Master of Dental Science degree for my research in the field of orthodontics. I have achieved the highest certification of the orthodontic profession becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2014.

I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Mid-Atlantic Association of Orthodontists, and New Jersey Association of Orthodontists. I am proud to offer the most cutting edge techniques and digital technology in the orthodontic field including iTero digital scanning, accelerated orthodontics, lingual braces, and Invisalign®.

Professional Affiliations

I am a native of Staten Island and currently live in Bridgewater with my wife Natasha. She is a nurse practitioner and owner of Revive Esthetics LLC. We met in Philadelphia when we were both studying at the University of Pennsylvania. We have four beautiful children, Robbie, Charlotte, Ryan, and Jamie. We enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and playing with our two cats, Max and Raya.
